Although loss is universal, most of us feel unprepared to cope with the reality of death and significant endings. Grief is unpredictable, uncomfortable, and isolating, regardless of the type of loss you’ve incurred. Friendships that were once supportive may feel unwelcoming and awkward as friends tip-toe around you.
You may suddenly face new financial and familial responsibilities that you were not expecting to take on and may leave you feeling overwhelmed. Coaching can help support you in this time of transition, adjust to unforeseen changes or new responsibilities, and plan for what is to come.
As opposed to Counseling, which involves digging into the past and answering those “why” questions, Coaching allows you to focus on creating a plan of action for the future. In doing so, you can regain a sense of purpose and movement in your life.
As your grief coach, I help to support you in determining how you’d like to move forward, how to put that plan into action, and how to live a more fulfilling life while still respecting and honoring the relationship, pathway, or loved one that you lost. I will help you reconnect with your inner strengths, resources, and effective coping strategies so you may feel grounded while you heal.
